Abstract
The article examines the current state and trends in key indicators of innovative development of service sector enterprises in Russia. The results of a comparative analysis of the levels of innovative activity of enterprises in leading sectors of the Russian economy are presented. The dynamics of the intensity and efficiency of innovation expenditures in the service sector are analyzed in detail. The structure of innovation costs is investigated, and the main sources of funding for innovation activities of service sector enterprises are identified. Based on the conducted research, sectoral features of economic activity of enterprises in the service sector are revealed, and the determinants of their innovative development are established: a pronounced impact of the inertia factor, high potential for differentiation, the importance of cooperation ties in the field of innovation, the absence of clear boundaries between product and process innovations, and a shortened innovation production cycle. Based on the synthesis of the obtained data, methodological principles for managing the innovative development of service sector enterprises are formulated.
