Abstract
The paper examines the management of organizational readiness for artificial intelligence (AI) implementation through the lens of digital maturity assessment. The current economic reality is characterized by unprecedented technological change, requiring organizations to fundamentally rethink their business approaches. Digital transformation, a comprehensive process of integrating digital technologies, is becoming a critical factor for competitiveness and sustainable development. AI is rapidly emerging as a core component defining business competitiveness and efficiency, permeating all economic spheres and offering unique opportunities for optimization, automation, and innovation. The primary objective of this research is to develop a comprehensive digital maturity assessment methodology specifically tailored for AI implementation. To achieve this, the conceptual foundations of integrating AI components into digital maturity models were analyzed, a multi-criteria assessment system considering twelve key factors (technological, organizational, and AI-oriented) was developed, and a model for assessing business process transformation potential was proposed. The developed five-level assessment scale (from reactive to transformed) and an AI implementation strategy matrix enable companies to objectively evaluate their readiness and develop phased transformation strategies. The theoretical significance of this work lies in advancing the methodological foundations of digital maturity assessment through the prism of AI implementation. The practical value of the research consists in developing tools that allow companies to objectively assess their readiness for digital transformation, considering the specifics of AI application.
