Problem. The lack of generalized data and a clear understanding of the impact of digital technology implementation in industry on the efficiency and key performance indicators of enterprises in the context of global digital economic transformation. The insufficient elaboration of these aspects hinders the formation of well-founded management decisions and strategies for the digital development of the industrial sector. Methodology. A systematic analysis of scientific publications, statistics, and reports on production digitalization was conducted. Economic-statistical and comparative methods (within the framework of digital economy theory and innovative development) were used to assess the impact of digital solutions on economic performance. The methodological apparatus allowed for the consideration of digital technologies as a factor in increasing resource efficiency and forming sustainable competitive advantages for industrial enterprises. Research Results. It has been established that the implementation of digital technologies in industry has a comprehensive impact on economic performance, manifesting in increased labor productivity, reduced operational and transactional costs, enhanced flexibility of production processes, and improved quality of management decisions. The generalization of quantitative data has shown that digitalization contributes to a tens-of-percent increase in labor productivity, cost reduction, and enhanced enterprise competitiveness. The research results indicate a positive trend in the digitalization level of enterprises in the machine-building industry of the Nizhny Novgorod region during the period 2022-2024, as evidenced by the growth of the integrated digitalization index and an increase in the share of innovative products, reflecting improved efficiency of digital technology implementation and increased enterprise innovative activity. Simultaneously, key limitations of digital transformation have been identified, including a deficit of qualified personnel, an insufficient level of investment, and a lack of a strategic approach to digital development. Practical Application. The findings can be utilized by business leaders and government authorities for the development and implementation of digital transformation programs, substantiating investments in information and communication technologies, personnel training, and enhancing the competitiveness of the industrial sector.
