Abstract
This article examines investment tax preferences and the assessment of their effectiveness. Increasing the effectiveness of investment tax preferences is of great importance at the current stage, as these preferences represent a tool of tax policy that promotes the development of industries and regions. However, assessing the effectiveness of tax preferences presents a certain complexity, as it involves the participation of various government bodies in the assessment and is carried out at the project implementation stage. The relevance of the research lies in finding a balance between the loss of budget revenues due to the provision of investment tax incentives and the prospects for increasing investment activity from the provision of tax preferences. The article aims to study the problems in assessing the effectiveness of investment tax preferences and to develop proposals for increasing their effectiveness. To enhance the effectiveness of tax investment preferences, a comprehensive approach to assessing their effectiveness is proposed, as well as regular monitoring and analysis of tax preferences, both at the stage of granting preferences and during the implementation of the investment project.
