The main goal of this work is to analyze and identify the risks associated with the implementation of mechanisms for infrastructural transformation and digitalization of regions. The analysis of the regulatory framework has shown that highly developed countries are actively implementing and regulating digitalization and infrastructural transformation processes, thereby giving this trend universality and globality. It was established that infrastructural modernization and digitalization of regions have both positive and negative aspects, opportunities and prospects for innovative development, as well as threats inherent to these processes. Statistical research has shown that cyber threats are becoming increasingly widespread and are becoming a development trend in the digital space of states. Other risks inherent to these processes were also identified, and rational methods for managing these risks were proposed.
