Abstract
Digitalization is a key factor in territorial competitiveness, including in the Donetsk People's Republic. Small and medium businesses (SMB) are important for socio-economic development, providing employment, innovation, and economic flexibility. A developed support infrastructure is necessary for SMB to fully utilize digital transformation opportunities. This article analyzes the dynamics of operating SMB in the Donetsk People's Republic, considering their significance, characteristics, factors, and development problems. It examines the requirements for infrastructure support organizations according to Government Decree No. 48-5 of 08.05.2024. Based on an analysis of the existing infrastructure, the authors present the federal and regional infrastructure for supporting SMB in the Donetsk People's Republic and propose priority areas for business development in the context of rapid digital technology development.
