Despite the widespread adoption of various forms of network partnerships in the economy, their specifics in terms of ensuring economic security remain understudied. This can create risks for the use of network partnerships in addressing corporate and national challenges. The aim of this research is to identify the main specifics of network partnerships as objects of economic security assurance. The methodological basis of the research includes the provisions of new institutional economic theory describing the activities of hybrid structures, as well as economic security theory. It is shown that the purpose of creating network structures is to eliminate risks characteristic of market and hierarchical models of economic activity organization, but this also gives rise to specific risks inherent in the network approach. The main threats to the economic security of network partnerships are described. The main behavioral patterns of network partnership participants when threats to their economic security arise are shown.
